"This is the story of Ethel and Norman Thayer, who are returning to their summer home on Golden Pond for the 44th year. They are visited by their divorced, middle-aged daughter and her dentist fiance, who then go off to Europe, leaving his teenage son behind for the summer."

AUDITIONS

Audition dates for "Love, Sex and the I.R.S" are Sunday, February 12, 4:00-7:00pm and Monday, February 13, 7:00-9:00pm at the Cooley School annex on Granite St. There are roles available for 5 adult males and 3 adult females. This play is a comedy revolving around 2 men trying to cheat the I.R.S. by filing as a married couple. When they are flagged for an audit, friends and family are pulled into their tangled mess of deceit.

"John and Leslie are out-of-work musicians who room together in New York City. To save money, Jon has been filing tax returns listing the pair as married. The day of reckoning comes when the Internal Revenue Service informs the "couple" they are going to be investigated by a Mr. Spinner. Leslie masquerades as a housewife, aided by Jon's fiancee, Kate. Complicating matters further--Leslie and Kate are having an affair behind Jon's back, Jon's mother drops in unexpectedly to meet her son's fiancee, and Leslie's ex-girlfriend shows up demanding to know why Leslie has changed and won't see her anymore."
